We needed a Saviour

but wanted a king

So God sent his own Son

In meekness he came

In the form of a servant

God's own precious Lamb

Who few

that were there recognized

He came – He lived – He died

and God cried

Give him Beauty for ashes

and crowns for his shame

From now and forever

a name above names

Let all of Heaven

and Earth now proclaim

Behold my Lamb

I have made him
